Bob Dylan – My Wife’s Home Town (Highway HW-031/32)

My Wife’s Home Town (Highway HW-031/32)

Halton Arena, Charlotte, NC – October 14th, 2010

Disc 1 (64:25):  Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat, Lay Lady Lay, Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues, Just Like A Woman, Beyond Here Lies Nothin’, Tangled Up In Blue, Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I’ll Go Mine), My Wife’s Home Town, High Water (For Charley Patton), A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall, Highway 61 Revisited

Disc 2 (39:09):  Love Sick, Thunder On The Mountain, Ballad Of A Thin Man, crowd, Jolene, Like A Rolling Stone, Bob introduces the band, All Along The Watchtower

My Wife’s Home Town documents the October 14th show in Charlotte, North Carolina on a professionally manufactured CDR.  Like all CDRs, the labels are affixed to the disc and they use cheap looking paper inserts for the artwork.

The performance is very good, but there are no rarities and no surprises.  Highway use a LOUD, distorted, booming recording that is really tough to get through.  This release is recommended only to those who were there that night and who MUST have a recording.  Otherwise, there are many other, and much better, recordings out there.
