Following the time honoured tradition of the release of Dylan’s ‘Unofficial’ back catalogue in an hilariously limited format (Most of which find their way straight to internet auction sites anyway) the set has been enterprisingly packaged and brought together on 6 silver disk CDs.
1964 was another break through year for Dylan and again previously unheard live concerts and studio tracks litter this set – first and foremost, It features the songs from the Royal Festival Hall in London and much muted recordings from Eric Von Schmidt’s apartment but also hitherto unreleased tracks and some that seem to have been traced back from existing bootlegs .. Once the set lands, we’ll take a further look.
The label OMS have also taken a go at the set in their own style with a booklet and – presumably – a slipcase. They haven’t provided any images however.
