Led Zeppelin – V 1/2 (Empress Valley EVSD-418/419/420)

V 1/2 (Empress Valley EVSD-418/419/420)

Disc 1:  Introduction, Rock and Roll, Celebration Day, Black Dog, Over The Hills And Far Away, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I’ve Been Loving You, No Quarter

Disc 2:  The Song Remains The Same, The Rain Song, Dazed & Confused, Stairway To Heaven

Disc 3:  Moby Dick, Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love, The Ocean

Empress Valley released V1/2 unexpectedly, catching collectors off guard.  It is the first release of this show in a while and like Afterburner (Cashmere CSCD-004/5/6) is a mix between the primarily used soundboard tape with the audience tape used to complete the gaps including the long introduction over the venue’s PA system.  The soundboard tape, compared to previous releases, sounds more hissy and dull.  The packaging is nice.  It comes in the EVSD long tray with a slipcover depicting the old Houses Of The Holy advertisment printed on a beige background.
