Live At The Lyric Opera House documents an excellent audience recording of Eddie Vedder’s June 14th show in Baltimore, the first of two at the venue. The Lyric Opera House has wonderful acoustics (having seen many operas there in the eighties) which ensures that a great tape would be produced. The acoustics are so good that Vedder himself remarks that if you want to say something “you can just say it, you don’t have to yell like a drunken asshole.”
Bonus tracks include several songs from the June 12th show in Upper Darby, PA. It is another excellent and atmospheric audience recording capturing the wild Philly crowd perfectly. They are loud and demonstrative (although never distracting) and Vedder mentions this in his remarks in the Baltimore show. These are all songs not played in Baltimore except for “Hard Sun” which features both Liam Finn and Eliza Jane Barnes. This is packaged in a trifold cardboad sleeve and is an excellent release by Godfather.
