speaking of Led Zeppelin’s 1975 tour, which of the following 3CD releases on the Eelgrass label that are soundboard (SBD) recordings would you recommend the most if you had a choice?…

    1. “Snowblind” (Vancouver; March 20th)
    2. “Haven’t We Met Somewhere Before” (Seattle; March 17th)
    3. “At Nassau Coliseum” (Uniondale; Feb. 14th)
    4. “Long Beach Californication” (Long Beach; March 11th)
    5. “Chasing the Dragon” (Dallas; March 5th)
    6. “Days Confused” (Dallas; March 5th)
    7. “Conspiracy Theory” (San Diego; March 14th)
    8. “St. Louis Blues” (St. Louis; Feb. 16th)
    9. “Rampaging Cajun” (Baton Rouge; Feb. 28th)

i would really appreciate any suggestions of which specific ones are the best…thanx

    • This is IMO, ranked by strength of performance, sound is excellent throughout the shows

      1. “At Nassau Coliseum” (Uniondale; Feb. 14th)
      2. “Snowblind” (Vancouver; March 20th)
      3. “Haven’t We Met Somewhere Before” (Seattle; March 17th)
      4. “Days Confused” (Dallas; March 5th)
      5. “Rampaging Cajun” (Baton Rouge; Feb. 28th)
      6. “Long Beach Californication” (Long Beach; March 11th)
      7. “St. Louis Blues” (St. Louis; Feb. 16th)
      8. “Chasing the Dragon” (Dallas; March 4th)
      9. “Conspiracy Theory” (San Diego; March 14th)

  2. i’m a casual listener. so I don’t feel qualified to make a judgment on the sound quality.

  3. I bet it’s a nice looking set…..any comments on sound quality ?

  4. I live in California.

  5. my set came today looks amazing!! happy new year to all!!

  6. This new set, limited to 100 copies sold out in a days time, so those who missed out, the EV title will certainly be an alternative. Will be interesting to see what EV’s set will look like. This T2K set is comprised of 21 discs, so if EV is 31, we should be able to expect multiple sources for quite a few of the shows.

    • From what I was told, the EV set has all 5 shows sourced from multiple audience sources, it adds 2 previously unreleased single audience sources and as special bonus, it adds also cleaned up board tapes fro May 24th and May 25th. The last time when EV have announced their big set (Garden Tapes), my contact reveals similar info and I wasn’t dissapointed when the box came in to my hands so now I am even more sure that EV will be something special when compared to super duper T2K version.

  7. This is awesome news indded. However, remembering from the past that very often T2K have touched their releases with heavy EQ I’d leave my attention to also discussed 31 discs (!) set by Empress Valley that is about to be released early next year. I do hope that EV version will be also more expanded as previously unreleased soures have been announced as pat of their forthcoming Earl’s Court set.
