Macca releases from the recent Japanese tour

Following Paul McCartney’s recent tour of Japan, the Far East labels have wasted no time in pressing up their silver disks.

An Empress Valley / Xavel collaboration, “One On One at the Budokan” is an omnidirectional audience recording of the show at the Budokan (Remember the hysteria that was when the Beatles first played there?) on the 25th of April, 2017. This also features, as bonus tracks, one song from a multiple IEM matrix recording from the same show (Begging the question – Wheres the rest?) and a soundboard recording of a track from the soundcheck rehearsal the previous day.

Piccadilly Circus – The Misterclaudel solo offshoot – have released 4 triple CD sets from consecutive nights – The first, another recording from the Budokan show on the 25th on the first two CDs, the third disk featuring an audience recording of the whole of the soundcheck from the previous day.

The other three are audience recordings from the shows at the Tokyo Dome on the 25th, 27th and 29th of April respectively. The third disks to the sets all featuring the soundcheck from earlier that day.

There are, of course, various CDR, DVDR & BDR releases from these shows but as I believe they may as well come from the same sources or should only sound as good as the pieces these labels are willing to press, I’ve avoided reporting them.
