As promised last time we now have a little more information on those new Tarantura releases.
The Stones release is “Shake Your Ass” the 1st show of Saturday, 15th November 1969 at the
Assembly Hall, University Of Illinois, Champaign, IL U.S.A. Continuing the labels succession of the 1969 tour.
“Hoopla” contains the studio recordings from the Dutch TV programme of the same name. Originally released on the Rattlesnake CD “Let Your Mind And Your Fancy Roll On”, the European label did, at least, add on a Hendrix interview where as the Tarantura release is just the music making it a very short playing time.
Another month another Kiss release and this time it’s a Joe Maloney recording of two of the bands sows in August 1975 over 3 CDs – the first show comes from Sunday the 3rd of August at the Providence Civic Center, Providence, RI U.S.A. while the second recording is from the Saturday August 23rd show at Calderone Concert Hall, Hempstead, NY U.S.A. which covers the other two disks.
Finally, a Rainbow release from the bands tour of Japan in 1980. Recorded by Mr. Peach, this 2 CD set features the full show from the gig on Monday, 12th of May at the Budokan Dai Hall, Tokyo.
