The International Harvesters is the name of Neil Young’s band in the mid eighties, playing about fifty shows with him between 1984 and 1985 (and backing him at Live Aid in July 1985).  CNE 1984is a two CDR title on Stringman,  new label dedicated to producing Young, Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton releases.

They utilize a very good to excellent audience tape of the entire two hour set.  Only a bit of audience conversation close to the recorder early on mars what is otherwise an enjoyable tape.  It is packaged in a double slimline jewel case with blurry inserts for the artwork.

This would have been a sensational silver release because the sound is so good, the show is great, and is filled with songs Young doesn’t play anymore.
