new Springsteen, Clapton, Yes and The Who

Several fascinating releases are coming out next week.  The Who Boston 1976 (no label) is a 2CD set with the Lampinski tapes from their visit in 1976.  Included are both the aborted March 9th show and the complete April 1st show at the Boston Garden.

Eric Clapton The Core (Beano-037) contains the February 1st, 1978 Vancouver show.  This seems to be a remaster of The Core (Beano-010) released five years ago.

Eric Clapton Touch My Heart (Tricone 061/062) contains the October 7th, 1977 Budokan, Tokyo show.

Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band Legendary Broadcast 1978 is a 3CD set containing the September 19th, 1978 radio broadcast from Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ.

Yes Master Degree (Virtuoso 095/096) contains that appears to be the complete November 11th, 1972 Duke University show.

  1. I wonder how much better the new Beano release is compared to the original ? It’s a beautiful stereo aud recording with only some minor flaws . I’m guessing Beano somehow improved the beginning of Layla & Lay Down Sally to start ? I am hoping I don’t have to upgrade on this and my Bruce title – Piece De Resistance GDR CD 9015 . Throw in the Who title and this could get expensive. Oh well , I guess I might have to break into the kid’s piggy bank – again !
