New releases from the HMC label have been announced!
The Beatles “Take It Off” is a compendium of new EMI outtakes featuring a load of new outtakes.
Apparently taken from a previously unrealised tape source, the set has uncovered new tracks from the archives of Roger Scott and John Barrett.
There is also a set that has been around on the internet for a short while featuring what purports to have cleaned the Barrett tapes up from different sources. We’ll have to wait to hear if this is different.
In fact, heres a sample: https://soundcloud.com/collectorsmusicreviews/track-7
The 2 disk set also includes part of the radio show, “The Beatles Story” Part 8, the psychedelic chapter.
There is also a new McCartney release “V.S.O.P” (Very Special Old Paul) – covering the promotional side of Paul’s new album at the BBC in the U.K. and on the Jimmy Fallon show in the U.S. also with a few oddities tacked on.
Finally a new DVD release on the Jolly Joker Empressa label of the Delaney and Bonnie show that was torrented a few months ago that also features appearances by George Harrison and Eric Clapton.

As per the sample I believe theres more to this release than we’ve heard before. Full review will appear when it comes to hand. Rumours of the demise of the quality of HMC’s releases are, apparently, not true ..
They certainly look familiar SCB. We’ll just have to wait and hear what we find.
“Apparently taken from a previously unrealised tape source, the set has uncovered new tracks from the archives of Roger Scott and John Barrett.” Aren’t these the same take #s we’ve always had?
