A mixed bag of new releases have recently arrived from the Far East ..
The Tarantura label have brought us a new version of the Led Zeppelin, Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver, Canada show from Wednesday July 18, 1973. As usual the label have chosen to present us with A and B sleeves for the collectors. Theres also the choice of buying the two together with an exclusive olive green T-Shirt promoting the set.
The label have also released a new double CD titled, “Blitzkrieg On Zurich” featuring the Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerland show from Sunday, June the 29th, 1980.
This a 3 CD set featuring both the soundboard and the Westwood One Broadcast. Limited to 80 copies only, two different sleeves and the pair can also be purchased along with a red T-Shirt.
The Misterclaudel gang have announced a 2 CD version of the old McCartney / Wings show in Newcastle, UK on the 10th of July, 1973. The disks comprise of the usual stereo soundboard and a newly found audience tape – there is no artwork to show just yet.
In other Beatles news, a new label has appeared, Lesmore, their two first releases are DTS-HD Master audio / Blu-Ray releases of both Abbey Road and Let It Be
The disks feature audio on both DTS-HD MA 7.1 channel Surround [24bit-96khz] and DTS-HD MA 2.0ch Stereo [24bit-192khz]. Your dog’s ears have never had it so good.
Finally a rare Miles Davis release – “Shaboo Inn”. A double disk release that features Miles’ set at the Shaboo Inn in Willimantic, CT on the 26th of January, 1974 a few moths before Miles recorded his works for the album, “Big Fun”.
