PoisonAPPLE, a offshoot of the Empress Valley label have released five new Simon and Garfunkel sets recently. Some of these are ‘classic’ recordings (Released previously on different labels but repackaged to suit this collection).
“Live At Hollywood Bowl” is the soundboard recording at the venue on the 23rd of August, 1968. This is presumably a copy of the Vigotone 1994 release, ‘Voices Of Intelligent Dissent’.
“Live At the Concertgebouw” is a copy of the show atThe Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 2nd May 1970. Presumably a copy of part of the old Yellow Dog title, ‘Welcome In Holland’ from 1995.
“Live At The Miami University” (Sic) is from the Millet Hall, Miami University, Oxford, OH on the 9th of November, 1969. A copy of Yellow Dog’s “Back To University”.
“Live At The Olympia” was recorded at the The Olympia, Paris, France on the 1st of May, 1970 and has been pressed on an old Italian no-label title.
Finally, “Live At The Tufts University” (Sic) is the show at The Cousens Gymnasium Tufts University, Medford, MA on the 11th of March, 1967.
