Strictly speaking, the Rainbow show isn’t a SB – it’s from the US radio broadcast ‘Captured Live’. Why it was recorded in Cardiff, Wales (UK) yet never broadcast there, I don’t know, but in 1975 the King Biscuit Flower Hour recorded Skynyrd in Cardiff also.
I have a copy of CARDIFF 1984 – although the concert took place in 1983, from the now defuncted italian Live Storm label. unfortunately, it contains only the second half of the show. It’s a SBD recording with stelar sound. i don’t listen to it in ages but I can recall that J.L.Turner butchered Stargazer. It’s an awful version. The rest of his performance is ok.
It does look interesting. But no, Lighthouse don’t support this site so there probably will not be any review of the Rainbow shows above.
Since Rainbow’s ‘Prince Of Wales’ contains a supposedly professionally recorded tape, this looks like an interesting title. Will there be a review?
