The ‘no label’ crew continue their excellent run of recent Hendrix releases with this 3 cd edition of the Royal Albert gig. No doubt the official Hendrix corporation will release their own version of this show soon, but I bet it won’t include the soundcheck. The ‘no label’ crew consistently manage to combine top quality tapes, artwork, and choice of shows for their Hendrix catalogue (the ‘Complete Woodstock’ release a few years back was incredible). Great work!
Just an additional note: the ‘no label’ version of Hendrix’s famous 1970 LA Forum show listed above also seems to be superb, boasting outstanding sound quality to match the inspired performance.
….. So two more essential Hendrix titles for the Christmas stocking!
