  1. Careful, I would suggest using the bootledz site to get the info you are looking for. Based on his reviews the Moonchild title Kutabare Moonchild is the best one. I have the Ookini Winston title and while the mix and transitions from source to source is excellent, the original soundboard source suffers from heavy handed mastering and sounds very metallic and should be avoided

    • Yes…THANKS very much for exactly that! The Kutabare version is the one I will be ordering next week, when the new Pink Floyd 2CD “Melbourne 1971” should be arriving.

    • I got the “Kutabare Moonchild” version, along with a couple Pink Floyd recent releases, on Monday, and I’m very happy with it, as it seems to be the definitive release of the legendary 929 show. THANKS again!

Anybody know of a site that tells what some of the somewhat unintelligible things being said during the show are? For example, after “Moby Dick”, somebody, perhaps John Bonham, says what sounds like, but almost surely couldn’t be, “Brandon Miles!” At some other point (I can’t remember where), what sounds to be the same person (Bonham again?) says something that roughly sounds similar to “I’m boarding/hoarding a car!” A real mystery to me what is actually being said, so anything helpful would be appreciated – thanks again.

      • I’ve found that it’s after “Black Dog” when the voice (John Bonham’s?) says what sounds like “I’m boarding/hoarding a car!” in a rather exasperated tone, as if he’s feeling quite ill.

If anybody could tell us what’s actually being said in these examples, it would be very much appreciated…thanks.

  2. Speaking of the Osaka 929 show, the Moonchild label seems to have several different “definitive” versions available of the partial soundboard combined with what I assume/presume is/are the best audience recording(s). Anybody know how they all differ from one another, and/or which is the very best one that I should get? THANKS to anybody who could let it become known here.

  5. Thanks very much for that info., but oddly, the Lighthouse site makes no mention of the new Floyd release (Sigma 283), a show they’re doing for the umpteenth time, being an upgrade of any type.

Has anybody heard any of the Led Zeppelin releases on the new Magic Pyramid label?….

I’m esp. curiously wondering about that Osaka 929 show that claims to be a “merge” of the SBD master, multi tracks master, & audience master. Has the complete, or at least nearly complete, SBD recording been released by now, or is it still being anticipated?
