Recently released on three connected labels are three different outtake compilations – ‘White Acetates’ is a Beatles release on the Retrospective Collection label – This is ostensibly the tape that Ringo gave to Peter Sellers after early mixes were made for “The Beatles” (“The White Album”) and before overdubs. Mixed and mastered for 2023, if you still don’t own these recordings, this CD is a must.
The ABBA release is titled, ‘Rare And Precious Collection’ from the Flashback collection label – A double label mixed bag of tracks featuring demos, alternate mixes, live tracks, full length versions, and more from throughout the bands career.
The Carpenters release is ‘Make Your Own Kind Of Music’, all tracks taken from the 1971 US television series that aired that summer. All mono tracks have been mixed to stereo for this release.
