New Beatles and Miles Davis titles

New titles from Golden Oldies and Stargazers (Ordinarily a CDR label) featuring the Beatles and Miles Davis have been released in the recent few weeks.

‘Live in Sweden 1963’ features that classic radio show from the Karlaplan Studios, Stockholm, Sweden alongside the Beatles show at the Grona Lund amusement park, also in Stockholm. Both shows are presented – on the audio disk – via new stereo remasters of both shows along side the original, beefier, mono versions of the broadcasts. The audio disks also feature two interviews with Klas Burling – recorded on two separate occasions.

The visual disk features the Beatles appearance on Swedish TV using a newly AI remastered colour version of that show, while there’s also a recent remaster of the complete show – also featuring support acts – in black and white. This disk is topped off with a TV special documentary, ‘The Beatles In Sweden’.

‘Live From London’ has the Beatles shows at the 1964 / 1965 NME poll winners concerts alongside the Shindig appearance in 1964. Extras include the Beatles starring in an all-star singalong on ‘House Of The Rising Sanand two Murray the K intervews, titled, ‘How It Happened’ from the date of those same rehearsals.

The DVD features AI colourised versions of both the NME shows and that Shindig appearance, also remastered B&W mono versions of the same shows too. Extras include era-specific Pathe news reels, TV spots for Shindig, the Shindig rehearsals and the Top of the Pops version of ‘Ticket To Ride’.

‘Laurasia – First Concert In Japan’ is a remaster of the original Seymour label release from 2007. Recorded live at the Shinjuku Kohseinenkin Hall, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, January 22, 1975, this concert has had it’s audio issues remedied and fleshed out to make this issue the best version from the master tape there is.

The first 100 sets feature a luxury jacket presentation.
