New Led Zeppelin release by Graf Zeppelin

Front card out

The new release, ‘V 1/2’ is Graf Zeppelin’s latest release as they zoom through a steady schedule this summer (Or winter, dependant on where you are.)

Another release of the Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, WA show from the 17th July 1973, this release has been released ten’s of times before on releases by Akashic records (‘Zep Hakase’), Empress Valley, ‘V 1/2‘, Eat A Peach (‘Performed Live In Seattle‘) and Dynamite Studio (‘V 1/2’) to name just a couple.

The Graf label have deigned to announce this as the ‘definitive’ version of this release and put the mono / stereo audience recordings over 3 disks, the stereo soundboard over two more.

  1. Sound quality is worse than past titles. it made me not satisfied.

  2. I’ve listened and compared this new title with recently released Eat A Peach title, “Performed Live In Seattle” and can only agree that Graf Zeppelin’s release is much worse sounding (ie. heavily tweaked) than Eat A Peach. Not only the quality, but also source transitions are done in very amateurish way, making listening experience rather a painful feeling, at least to my ears. It could be a great release if not all these issues, though.

  4. I heard that the new Zeppelin release by Graf Zeppelin was ‘already sold out on pre-orders’. I love hearing that.
