Things are historically quiet in January but a handful of new releases have started to appear quietly and are starting to stir up the dust.
The Dog ‘n Cat label announce their first releases this year with their take on the Desert Trip show, “Ride ‘Em On Down” (the first evening) and “Just Your Fool” (The second) and also a CD of BBC and TV sessions, remastered and reconditioned from 1964 to 1969, titled, “On Air”.
The latest Graf Zeppelin release is “Fractured Ribs; Dallas 1973 Soundboard raw master”. Featuring tracks from the show at the Dallas Convention Center, Dallas, Texas, USA on the 18th May, 1973, it also includes tracks from the bands show at the Denver Coliseum, Denver, Colorado USA, 25th May, 1973.
The Speak Ezy label have released Pink Floyd’s “Boston 1973 Mastersound”, recorded at Boston Music Hall, Boston, Massachusetts, USA 14th March, 1973 and boasting ‘Ultimate sound’.
The Primevision Collection label have a DVD of Wham! promo videos and TV appearances compiled on “George Michael – The Best”.
Empress Valley’s ‘PoisonAPPLE offshoot have released a Carpenters boot, “Live At The Amsterdam” (Sic) recorded on the 16th November, 1976 at the Jaap Edenhal, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
